On another note, if the economy bottoms out (did it already? I don’t know how low the bottom is) these are the types of folks who seem to be in a little better of a position than someone who, say, only knows how to make websites … since they make their own food.

A love for land and animal is evident in many aspects of her life, and a respect but utilization for the circle of life is also present. Her lifestyle is especially relevant in these increasingly turbulent economic times, with the entire core of her sustenance based on her capabilities to produce, as well as her connections with neighbors who do what she can’t do. Skills like this could be very important in the future, setting folks up for less reliance on the unknowns and more on the people you know, trust, and surround yourself with.
