It’s been about six months since I made any photos at the Bryan House, which I realize really isn’t all that long, but it’s felt long for me knowing that there was only one unit and family left living there that I needed to photograph. It’s taken awhile to try and get everything moving forward again in making personal work, and there are many new ideas looming on the horizon that I am excited to explore, but I can’t until I can complete what I set out to do with a few project that currently aren’t quite done. The Bryan House final project doesn’t necessarily represent every person and every room in the Bryan House’s first year of complete occupancy, but I felt like I needed to see it all at least, and I finally have. I hope to update the edit of this project and one other one before the year’s end. 2010 will bring new things.

At left is a photo from the Hassan’s move in day back in April or so. Now the room is home to two wonderful girls who came all the way from Iraq.
