In a moment of boredom I was browsing through this year’s World Press Photo winners and I was brought back to a series that interested me initially when I looked at the winners a month or two ago, but one that I didn’t quite “get” at the moment, pretty much because I only fleetingly glanced at the photos and since they were in the Arts and Entertainment section I didn’t spend as much time on them (never generalize!). So I went back to check out this series of images … tourists at Auschwitz by the Netherland’s Roger Cremers, who is now on the list of people who’s work I will try to keep up with.
