Many of the photographs I make are born of frustration. Case in point above. On a recent cold and snowy night the local university, Benedictine University in Lisle had power blaring through their stadium lights illuminating …. I’m not sure what. There was no one there, nothing to light up. I’ll admit that there could be a reason for this, but at face value I see a hugely blatant waste of energy, that not only was pointless, but brightened up the night sky from a mile away. At least it made for what I thought to be a photogenic scene.

Not sure myself, but it sure did make for a great frame. Feels timeless.
