The part of summer that will suck the life out of most people is here and it’s heavy. Stupid hot outside. It’s taxing. I’m taxed and not sure why. My interest in trying to keep up with politics doesn’t do much for me either, trying to stay positive about either candidate is about as easy as flying. The more I read about the probable next president the more I realize his “change” is pure bullshit as he seems to operate as covertly as our government is now, closing more and more doors to the press and alienating the people who got him where he was. The goofy, skinny, harmless looking but powerful speaker appears more and more ruthless as the campaign goes on. Hopefully I’m wrong.
After a wedding tomorrow I hit the road again for a few weeks …. Michigan, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and Ohio are all likely stops, though the schedule tends to change pretty unexpectedly.
The two weeks of summer after my travels are done and before grad school starts back up are going to be much needed. Not to say I haven’t been enjoying the summer. I found the perfect position, get to cover stories that I believe are important and get to meet amazing people. Most of all I’m making more photos than I can really keep up with. Just a little tired for the minute.
