The towns around Athens, Ohio have had a few county fairs as of late. I’ve been using a good portion of my spending change on the admission fees to these havens for interesting people. Still shaking off rust in terms of getting good photos (and my first critique later today could very well verify this even more) but there is a lot going on in these places and in addition to that most people are pretty nice. Saw my first demolition derby, got offered free horseback ride in the hills some miles north of here, and managed to stay away from the multiple health hazards available to me like elephant ears and friend vegetables (oxymoron?).
