I was walking down this trail yesterday with my brother. Sometimes even what is surrounded by a wasteland of Hummer’s and boxed houses can be pretty inspiring. Anyways, the point is this: one section of the trail got very narrow (about 6 inches wide) and there was brush on either side above our heads. It’s good to get away from everything. But even when you think you are away, you are definitely not…at least in Naperville. I found this out when a dad came plowing through the trail, navigating this terrain while carrying a baby and holding on to a dog leash. Maybe the baby was on his back, maybe the leash was attached to his handle bars, I don’t remember. But I bet that dude could talk on his cell phone and drive better than some people can drive period. Or talk on their cell phone period. I was pretty inspired by that, and the sky. I always like a good sky without clouds of smoke and haze messing it up once in awhile. This also reminds me of a time about two weeks ago I was riding through a field with some other friends and we came across a man who was possibly naked (grass was too tall to tell about his bottom half) and appeared to be either bathing in a little watering hole or reading a book. I bet he was trying to get away from everything. He failed when we came rolling through that field.
Back to the first story…after crazy bike dad, my friend came along then this lone stranger started walking over a hill and then I pressed the camera button. Woo.
good ramble.
