There are a few local issues where folks seem to be getting riled up as of late. A lot of assignments I cover lack much emotion. It’s a bit different for me to see a few speakers nearly move audience members (and myself included) to tears with the way they speak. I don’t think the power of strong leadership can be underestimated. The motivation behind this little rally is a tax referendum. The outcome remains to be seen. We’ll see just how motivated these people got, and got their neighbors on the issue as a result, in a few weeks.
