If you don’t take a picture of talking heads, zoomed right up in the face like you often see (and like I had to shoot for today’s cover), this is what a campaigning press conference might look like. Somewhere behind the war veterans and John McCain is the former bassist for cheap trick, who provided grooves to fill in the gaps of speechless time. That was funny. This being my first political type thing I was kinda fascinated by the whole thing and the behavior of everyone at the event (including myself, who, upon seeing the rest of the photojournalists from AP and Chicago Tribune shooting photos as the pols were walking out the door, felt I should do the same… not that the photos came out bad, but they’re the same thing anyone’s seen before…just like this one is I guess.)
