The arts center in Chicago is pretty nice, right by Navy Pier, has some super expensive weird paintings, and I was able to park in a residential area not three blocks away, ticket free! I’m really pushing my luck with parking sometimes.
This is just a weird shot of Kyle and Charlie setting up for the Quiksilver Rising Son movie premier that was held here.
I was too busy documenting the evening with a polaroid camera to shoot many photos on my real camera. Fun night though, met a lot of interesting people. A lady and her daughter from Toronto told me how amazing of a city Chicago is, and how clean it is. They called their son (who is a skateboarder they told me) to tell them they were meeting a skateboarding legend. Bet that kid is kicking himself for staying in Toronto. The whole Quiksilver team was stoked on the little 2 day documenting thing I did on this wall for them, and a lot of people seemed to get a kick out of seeing themselves on the wall.
I didn’t mind meeting and talking to Christian Hosoi either.
