I was out shooting the great Champaign Urbana Duck Race today (wooohoo!) and was looking for something interesting when I heard over the microphone that group of kids was about to perform on this little stage, so I ran over and sat in the front corner of the stage. The performance didn’t happen because one of the kids brought the wrong cd. Somebody’s mom was really upset. I was sitting between this little kid and another little girl. After I took this shot of the kid waltzing off the stage, the two kids started jokingly throwing racial slurs back and forth…
I wasn’t happy about that but I am nobody’s mother.
