
I spent some hours in the darkroom today. Usually that means color darkroom, but today it meant traditional ol’ b/w. Here’s some architecture I walked by every day down there.
<— These first three were shot in Mexico on 6×7 format with 3200 speed film and a red filter, resulting in extremely grainy, and contrasty images. That’s what I wanted, though I wish these did have more tones. The 2nd and 3rd were shot from the hip. 
here’s elise from my class. Shot on messed up 4×5…i fogged 1/3 of the negative, but thanks to such a huge size i just cropped it off with the print.
and here’s 1 more 4×5. these were the first shots ive done with large format, needless to say a lot went wrong (I wasted like 4 sheets of film)….but once I get good shots, they should look nice…
